I love a good rose garden. Ever since I was a child, I reveled in playing with the earth. Those boyhood memories of Matchbox cars racing along tracks and tunnels I fashioned from dirt in the Bronx projects remain vivid. But the scent of clean, untainted earth, teeming with robust earthworms, captivated me. Consequently, as a child, I delighted in molding the soil, and that passion persists to this day.
Resilience led to a Rose Garden
Now, as an adult, I’ve cultivated my own garden. My initial venture into vegetable gardening faced challenges—limited space and a learning curve. For two consecutive years, I harvested modest success: sweet beets. However, other crops, including melons, failed to thrive. Undeterred, in 2006 in Alhambra, CA, I embarked on a fresh journey, focusing on roses and other flowers. In short, my garden boasted 19 distinct varieties of roses, each one a testament to my dedication. Ultimately, amidst the foliage and blooms, my pride and joy flourished—the resplendent roses. 🌹🌿
A Captivating Rose Garden
Each rose in my garden of solitude bore a name, which the creators gave them. Here’s a glimpse of their beauty, captured during the Summer of 2006 in the order of strong fragrance starting with the most fragrant. At that time, some blooms were still awaiting their moment in the sun.

GOD has given me great delight through these roses both by stimulating my eyes and nose! As a result, I have created a list of the best smelling roses starting from greatest to least.
